Ever since I moved out west, Terry and I hunted for the opportunity to run the Muddy Creek.   We occasionally checked the stream at the appropriate time of year starting 1999.  We even once set out to do the run over Memorial Day weekend in 2000.  The muddy, turbulent creek looked great, until Sherry walked across it with the Muddy Creek not even going over the sole of her sandals.

In 2003, Terry Acomb got word about the Muddy Creek flowing.  He quickly ran it.   A few days later on, he and I returned with video camera in hand.  Terry estimates running it on about 150 cfs.  I thought I had unique footage due to the rarity of flow.  We ended up running the Muddy Creek about twice a season for the next 3 years, amazingly at progressively higher and higher flows.
